Usernames and passwords are not saved
Waterfox includes built-in password management which allows you to manage the usernames and passwords you use to log in to websites. This article describes why your logins might not be saved.
Waterfox settings for logins and passwords
If you’ve disabled the autofill feature, Waterfox will not fill in your login information. To change this setting:
- Click the menu button to open the menu panel.
- Click Logins and Passwords.
- Click the Waterfox logins menu (three dots), then click Options.
4. Add a checkmark next to Ask to save logins and passwords for websites to see a prompt. 5. Add a checkmark next to Autofill logins and passwords so you wouldn’t have to type them in each time.
Now that you’ve configured Waterfox to remember passwords, try logging in to the site again.
Password Manager software
You may have Password Manager software, maybe as a feature included in security software, that prevents Waterfox from storing passwords. Check your Password Manager software settings. For more information, see Where are my logins stored?
Remember Password prompt is not displayed
Some graphics driver versions may have problems to display prompts. To see if this applies to you, follow the steps in Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Waterfox problems.
Websites prohibit password saving
Some websites do not allow for passwords to be saved for security reasons. If you have followed the steps above, but are still not prompted to save a password when logging in to a certain website, that site may have disabled password saving.
